Immingham In Bloom 2015

Immingham In Bloom 2015

I started off last year by saying what a fantastic year 2013 had been for Immingham, and just when we thought that things could not get any better in 2014 it did.  After winning a Gold award for the 3rd year running East Midland in Bloom asked Immingham to represent them in the prestigious Britain in Bloom finals.

After taking up the challenge the judges arrived in August and as expected went away very impressed with the standard of our efforts. The World War 1 trench feature gaining great reviews.

So off we went to the Britain in Bloom results presentation held in Bristol in October. This being the first time for Immingham it had us on our seat edges waiting for the result, and what a great result it was gaining a Silver Gilt., Not only that but we also received a special award for the best community work with young children.

All of our achievements are down to the hard working volunteers from Immingham in Bloom and the dedicated staff from Immingham Town Council, Let’s hope that with the new projects and features that we have done for this year’s campaign, we will once again impress the judges.

Finally, I am so grateful again to our main sponsors Associated British Ports who are supporting us again this year and along with all of our sponsors from the business sector we will once again be in a strong financial position to continue our efforts in making Immingham a green and vibrant community.

Immingham In Bloom was awarded a Gold Medal in the overall Town Category 2015.
