The Museum tells the Story of the Immingham Area from prehistoric to the present day. Our new Downstairs Rooms include exhibitions showing the story up to 1900, with a focus on the Pilgrim fathers; Wartime experiences and items from Immingham houses and shops; a Reading and Research room, well stocked with local history sources including an extensive railway history archive; a group/school meeting area and video presentations. Some exhibitions will change on a regular basis.

The Upstairs Gallery (limited access for those with severe physical disability),focuses on the history of the Immingham Dock and has a major working railway layout showing the development of the Dock by the Great Central Railway. There are major working exhibitions, video presentations and the historic NUR Banner.

The expansion of the Museum provides opportunities for new volunteers. Please contact the Museum if you wish to join with us.

The Immingham Museum is an Accredited Museum, a Registered Charity and a member of the Association of Independent Museums.
