TOWN CLERK VACANCY

We serve a community of just over 7300 electors and our precept for 2018/2019 stands at £311974.

The town council operates allotments, a burial ground and an angling pond.  We also deliver a range of services on behalf of the principal authority and house a number of public body tenants, including the Police and library, within our Immingham Hub.  We are currently considering the development of other services and our new Town Clerk will play a crucial role in exploring such opportunities.

The council offices are located within the Immingham Hub which is in the middle of our Britain in Bloom award-wining town.

The council wishes to recruit a new Town Clerk who will also act as Responsible Financial Officer.  The person appointed will manage the council services, its staff and take on a pivotal role in ensuring our council continues to move forward.   The successful candidate will have to demonstrate clear leadership abilities and have a sound understanding of our sector and the opportunities which lie ahead.

 You will hold the Certificate in Local Council Administration (CILCA) or be able to obtain it within two years of being appointed.

Annual salary will be National Joint Council scale points 45 to 47.

The recruitment process will be administered by the East Riding and Northern Lincolnshire Local Councils Association, which is known as ERNLLCA, and completed applications must be returned to that body.
